WINTHROP, Mass.—Senior Patrick Bradanese (Billerica, Mass.) of the Anna Maria College men's basketball team has been named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Player of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.
It marks the second time this season that Bradanese has earned the league's top weekly honor, as he was also Player of the Week in week six.
Bradanese averaged 29.5 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 5.0 assists in a 2-0 week for Anna Maria. He was one assist shy of a triple-double in Tuesday's win against Rivier, as he finished with 27 points, 11 rebounds, and nine assists. On Saturday, he scored a season-best 32 points to go with five boards in the AMCATS' win over Saint Joseph's (Maine).
On the week, Bradanese shot 50 percent overall (18-36), 40.9 percent from three-point range (9-22) and 87.5 percent from the free-throw line (14-16).
The AMCATS' senior guard has been the team's leader in points all season, clocking in with 19.8 points per game on a 32.0 percent shooting effort. He also leads the GNAC in assists with 5.6 per game. Bradanese has scored more than 25 points in five different games this season, including two games where he topped 30 points. Last week, he became Anna Maria's 23rd 1,000-point scorer.
