  • Softball Falls At Suffolk in Two Game Series

    EAST BOSTON – The Anna Maria College softball team dropped two Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) contests with the Rams of Suffolk University on Saturday afternoon. The Rams took a 9-1 victory in game one and a 14-2 victory in five innings in game two. The loss drops the AMCATS to 4-24 on the season and 2-16 in the conference while the Rams improve to 21-14 and 13-6.

    Newton, Mass. – The Anna Maria College softball team dropped a pair of Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) games to the Lasers of Lasell College on Friday afternoon. The Lasers took a close 3-2 victory in game one before notching an 11-2 victory in game two. The AMCATS fall to 4-24 on the season and 2-16 in conference play while the Lasers improve to 6-26 overall and 2-16 in the GNAC.

    Worcester, Mass. – The Anna Maria College softball dropped a pair of Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) games to the visiting Mustangs of Mount Ida College on Sunday evening at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. The visitors took an 11-1 victory in game one before earning a 15-0 shutout in game two. The losses drop the AMCATS to 4-22 overall and 2-14 in the GNAC while the Mustangs improve to 11-16 overall and 5-9 in the conference.

    Worcester, Mass.—The Anna Maria College softball team split in a two game series with the Cadets of Norwich University on Tuesday evening in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action. The Cadets took a 6-0 victory in game one before the AMCATS took game two with a final score of 8-7. This series brings the AMCATS to 4-18 overall and 2-10 in the conference while the Cadets move to 6-15-1 on the season and 6-6 in the GNAC.

    Worcester, Mass.—The Anna Maria College softball team dropped in a two game series with the Raiders of Rivier University on Tuesday evening in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action. The Raiders took a 12-5 victory in game one before earning a 9-1 victory in game two. The loss drops the AMCATS to 3-17 overall and 1-9 in the conference while the Raiders improve to 8-10 on the season and 2-4 in the GNAC.

    STANDISH, Maine – Saint Joseph’s College (7-9, 4-2 GNAC) posted a pair of mercy-rule victories over Anna Maria College (3-15, 1-7 GNAC) in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) softball action at Richard W. Bailey Field on Sunday afternoon. The Monks defeated the AMCATS 9-1 in the opener and swept the two-game set with an 11-3 triumph in the closing contest.
  • Moran Throws Shutout to Lift AMCATS to Split at Simmons

    BOSTON, Mass. – Bridget Garach picked up her first collegiate win and knocked in two runs to help the Simmons College softball team to a 9-3 victory over visiting Anna Maria College in game one of a Great Northeast Athletic Conference doubleheader. Senior Kaitlyn Moran (Leicester, Mass.) tossed a six-inning shutout to lead the AMCATS to a 9-0 win in the nightcap over the Sharks. Simmons is now 8-11 overall, including 3-3 in league play, while Anna Maria is now 3-13 and 1-5.

    New Haven, Conn. – The Anna Maria College softball team dropped a pair of Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) games to the Falcons of Albertus Magnus College on Wednesday evening.The Falcons rolled to a 10-0 mercy-rule victory in game one and a 7-0 win in the second game. The win lifts Albertus Magnus to 11-5 overall and 2-0 in the GNAC while Anna Maria falls to 2-12 on the season and 0-4 in conference play.
  • Hawks Fly to Two Game Sweep with AMCATS

    Worcester, Mass.—The Anna Maria College softball team dropped a pair of games with the Hawks of Becker College on Thursday evening. The Hawks took a 9-5 victory in game one before moving on to claim the 13-4 final victory in game two. The loss drops the AMCATS to 2-10 overall this season while the Hawks improve to 4-8 on the season.
