WESTFIELD, MA - Anna Maria was defeated 6-0 by Westfield State University in a Massachusetts State Athletic Conference field hockey game on Friday evening at Alumni Field.
With the result, the AMCATS' overall record falls to 1-6, and their conference record drops to 0-2.
Anna Maria's best chance to score came halfway through the second quarter when Madison Marie Romano took a shot on goal that forced the Westfield goal keeper to make a save to keep the AMCATS off the board.
Julianna Stanger played all 60 minutes in net for the AMCATS, making 11 saves to keep her team competitive.
Anna Maria returns home on Tuesday, September 30th, to take on MASCAC rival Fitchburg State University. Start time is scheduled for 6 p.m.
