WESTFIELD, Mass. - Anna Maria College was defeated 80-62 by Westfield State University in a Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference men's basketball game on Saturday afternoon.
With the loss, the AMCATS move to 4-10 overall and 1-3 against MASCAC competition.
The Owls held a 38-32 advantage at halftime before pulling away in the second half, outscoring Anna Maria 42-30 over the final 20 minutes.
Yuki Efosa led the AMCATS with 16 points and nine rebounds. Nolan Serafin provided a spark off the bench, finishing with 15 points and nine rebounds, while Lucas Miglionico added 10 points, his third straight game scoring in the double digits, and his 11th time this season.
Anna Maria returns to action on Wednesday, January 21st, for a home matchup against Fitchburg State University. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.
