Men’s Ice Hockey Wins Big Over Rivier

NASHUA, NH - The Anna Maria College offense was firing on all cylinders, dominating in a 6-2 win over Rivier University in a Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference men's ice hockey game on Saturday evening at the Conway Arena.

The AMCATS opened scoring at 5:13 of the first when Nick LeVasseur finished off a setup from Adam Redding and Owen Barrow. Rivier answered 33 seconds later, and the game went to the first intermission tied 1–1.

Anna Maria regained the lead in the second period on the power play at 15:59, with Liam Wells converting from Nolan Ring and Braeden McKinnon. Just under two minutes later, Ring struck at 17:32 to make it 3–1, assisted by Wells and Hayden Rynard.

Rivier cut the deficit to one early in the third, but the AMCATS responded with three straight. Barrow scored a power-play goal at 14:38 from Max Wennerberg, McKinnon added another at 17:14 from Andrew LaHaie and Dylan McElhinny, and Wennerberg sealed it with an empty-netter at 19:03 off a feed from Barrow.

Matthew Hennessey played the entire game in net for the AMCATS, making 14 saves to pick up his fourth straight win.
