PAXTON, Mass: The Anna Maria Men's Lacrosse team defeated Regis College in conference action 17-8 this evening on AMCAT Field.
Records: Regis 3-5, 0-5 GNAC. AMC 4-8, 2-3 GNAC.
The Pride's Michael Tremblay had the team high of four goals in the contest on just five shots. Brain Wagner led the team in total points with five as he was able to find the back of the net twice and dished our three more assists.
The AMCATS had five players score multiple goals in tonight's game, starting with Eric Glover (Baldwinville, Mass.) who had a game high in goals with five on nine shot attempts. Ryan Rockwal (Chicopee, Mass.) also secured a hat trick with a three goal performance. Brandon Pavoni (Granby, Mass.) also showed why he was the previous player of the week in the GNAC getting a game high six points on two goals and four assists. Nick Massaro (West Haven, CT) rounded up the AMC offense with another four total points after a two goal and two assist performance.
Paul Schwarz (Staten Island, NY) will get the win for the 'CATS improving him to 2-6 on the season after a nine save night with five goals allowed.
JJ LaRose will be tagged with the loss, dropping him to 2-5 on the season. During the game he made sixteen saves and seventeen goals allowed.
The AMCATS will be back on the field Thursday against Emmanuel for another conference match up with a start time of 7 PM.
