STUMP NOTCHES 4 IN SENIOR NIGHT WIN OVER FALCONS
PAXTON, MA. – The Anna Maria Women's lacrosse team hosted the Falcons of Albertus Magnus for a conference and senior day matchup. The AMCATS won the game the game 10-6.
The AMCATS would come out strong scoring the first two goals of the game against the Falcons leading them 2 to 0. The first goal would come off a free position shot from Riley Michaud. The second AMCATS goal would come off the stick of Ivy Ballou off a pass from Olivia Stump. It would not be long though before the Falcons would strike back on the AMCATS defense scoring a goal, to cut the AMCATS lead to one. The AMCATS would then go right back at it and score one more goal before the end of the first, off the stick of Olivia Stump for her second goal of the game. The AMCATS would be leading at the end of the first 3 to 1.
The second quarter the AMCATS offense would be fast, quick, and intense for the Falcons as the AMCATS would score right into the second quarter off the stick of Olivia Stump for her third goal of the game. The Falcons would get one back to stay in reach with the AMCATS scoring their 2nd goal of the game and cutting the lead for the AMCATS to 2 goals, with a. score of 4 to 2. but it would be the AMCATS offense to strike once again against the Falcons scoring their 5th goal of the game off the stick of Ivy Ballou for her second goal of the game. The Falcons were not going away as they would score their third goal of the game, to cut the AMCATS lead once again back to two goals. It would then be the AMCATS to take control for the rest of the second quarter getting their 6th goal of the game off a pass from Kelsey Kowal to Ivy Ballou for her third goal of the game. The AMCATS would continue the pressure and were not letting down against the Falcons scoring again before the second quarter would end off the stick of Olivia Stump for her fourth goal of the game for the AMCATS. The AMCATS would keep the Falcons off the board after their two goals late in the second quarter to head into halftime leading the Falcons 7 to 3.
The third quarter for the AMCATS would be strong on the defense and offensive side of the ball. The AMCATS would use their offensive skills to score on the Falcons for their 8th goal of the game off the stick of Raegan Hachey and would shut the Falcons down offensively in the third, not allowing a single goal in the third quarter.
The Falcons would come out strong in the fourth and were not giving up continuing to pressure the AMCATS, as they would go on to score three consecutive goals, to cut the AMCATS lead by two in the fourth. The AMCATS would quickly answer to the Falcons three goals, as they would go on to score two consecutive goals in the fourth. The AMCATS would get their 9th goal of the game off a free position shot from Olivia Stump for her fourth goal of the game, and the AMCATS 10th and final goal of the game would come off the stick of Raegan Hachey, for her second goal of the game to secure the win over the Falcons on senior night, with a score of 10 to 6.

- Olivia Stump would lead the offense for the AMCATS scoring 4 goals and collecting one assist in the win over the Falcons.

- Grace Holden would have 11 saves and collect her first NCAA career win against the Falcons.
- The AMCATS women's lacrosse team would get their first win of the season.
