WOMEN'S LACROSSE CAN'T KEEP UP WITH RAMS

FRAMINGHAM, MA- On Wednesday April 2, 2025, the Anna Maria College women's lacrosse team traveled to Framingham, MA to take on the Rams of Framingham State for a non-conference matchup. The AMCATS lost the game 17-4.

The Rams would open the game with two early goals in the first quarter. The AMCATS would answer for their first goal of the game, off a pass from Ivy Ballou to Kelsey Wilson to find the back of the net for the AMCATS and cut the Rams lead to one goal.  The Rams would answer to the AMCATS one goal, totally controlling the game scoring 14 unanswered goals. The AMCATS would refuse to give up and would find themselves their second goal of the game against the Rams off Ivy Ballou free position shot with seconds to spare in the third quarter. The fourth quarter the Rams would get on the board first to add to their lead on the AMCATS. The AMCATS would continue to fight against the Rams and would manage two more goals before the game would come to an end. The AMCATS third goal would come off the stick of Olivia Stump, and their fourth goal would come off the stick off Raegan Hachey. Despite the AMCATS not giving up and continuing to push against the Rams, they would fall short to the Rams 17 to 4. 

BEYOND THE BOXSCORE 

  • Ivy Ballou would have a two-point game for the AMCATS, with a goal and an assist against the Rams. She currently has 7 goals and one assist for the AMCATS for a total of 8 points in 10 games so far this season. 
  • Raegan Hachey would lead the AMCATS in draw control wins with 4 against the Rams.
  • Valentina Villa would lead the AMCATS on caused turnovers against the Rams with 2. 

WHAT'S NEXT: 

The AMCATS will be back in action on Saturday April 5th, 2025, where they will travel to New London, NH to take on the Chargers of Colby Sawyer for a Great Northeast Athletic Conference game. Opening draw is set for 12:00pm.
