Brayden Wright Named MASCAC Rookie of the Week

PAXTON, Mass. - Freshman Brayden Wright has been named the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week for games played from February 22 to March 1, as announced by the league office Monday afternoon.

Wright opened his collegiate career with a strong start, batting 6-for-12 (.500) across three games to help the AMCATS to a 2-1 week. The first baseman drove in four RBIs, scored two runs, and recorded a double.

Wright went 2-for-4 with an RBI in the season opener, a 7-4 win over John Jay, before posting a 3-for-4 performance with two RBIs, including a walk-off single, in game two against John Jay. He added another RBI while going 1-for-4 in a setback to Rose-Hulman.

Wright and the AMCATS continue their Florida trip against Chatham on Tuesday, March 3, scheduled for 4:30 p.m.
