Boyce Earns MASCAC Rookie of the Week

PAXTON, MA - For the fifth consecutive week, freshman quarterback Nikolay Boyce has been recognized by the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference for his exceptional play, earning Rookie of the Week as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.

Boyce powered Anna Maria to its fifth straight MASCAC victory in Saturday's 30–22 win over Fitchburg State, throwing touchdown passes of 10 and 8 yards while completing 13 passes for 114 yards through the air. The dual-threat freshman also added 34 rushing yards on 14 carries, punching in a rushing touchdown to finish with three total scores on the day.

At 5–2 overall, the AMCATS currently sit second in the MASCAC standings behind Plymouth State, which holds a 6–1 record, with its lone loss coming at the hands of Anna Maria earlier this season. Boyce and the AMCATS will look to take over the top spot and secure their sixth straight win when they travel to Worcester State this Saturday, November 1st, for a 1:30 p.m. kickoff.
