Boyce Earns Seventh Consecutive MASCAC Weekly Award

PAXTON, MA - Freshman quarterback Nikolay Boyce was recognized by the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference for the seventh straight week, earning MASCAC Football Rookie of the Week for his excellent performance in the AMCATS' overtime battle at Bridgewater State University.

Despite a tough loss to the Bears that ended a six-game win streak for Anna Maria, Boyce still played an exceptional game, completing 24 passes for two touchdowns of 25 and 22 yards, while throwing for 279 yards with a long of 32 yards and an efficiency rating of 115.6. Boyce added nine rushes for 30 yards, including a seven-yard touchdown run in the heartbreaking 41-35 overtime loss.

Boyce has been dominant all season, leading the league with 260.8 passing yards per game, nearly 100 yards more than the next closest quarterback at 176.6, while tossing 26 touchdown passes, doubling the total of the runner-up.

Boyce and the AMCATS look to close out the regular season on a high note, hosting the winless Dean College Bulldogs on Saturday, November 15th. Kick-off is set for noon.
