Women's Lacrosse Outshined by Golden Bears

PAXTON, Mass. - Anna Maria College was defeated 19-1 by Western New England University in a non-conference women's lacrosse game on Monday evening at Caparso Field.

With the loss, the AMCATS fall to 1-4 overall on the season.

Western New England built a commanding lead early, scoring consistently through the first half and extending its advantage to 14 goals before Anna Maria broke through late. Alyse Mutti ended the scoring drought for the AMCATS with an unassisted goal to put the home team on the board.

Grace Holden played the full game in goal for Anna Maria, recording eight saves in the loss.

Anna Maria returns to action on Mar 18 (Wed) at 4:30 PM when it travels to face Thomas (Me.).
