Worcester, MA- The Women's lacrosse team traveled down the road to Worcester, MA to take on the Lancers of Worcester State University. The AMCATS would go on to fall to the lancers 16-2 in a conference matchup.
The AMCATS saw a strong offensive effort from Megan Tegethoff, who led the way with two goals on two shots, accounting for all of Anna Maria's scoring on the day. Tegethoff remained efficient and aggressive, capitalizing on her opportunities to keep the AMCATS on the board.
Defensively, Anna Maria was anchored by Miah Bankhead, who controlled the midfield with a team-high three draw controls while adding a ground ball and a caused turnover. Mackenzie Fitch also contributed on the defensive end, picking up a ground ball to help limit possessions.
In goal, Grace Holden made seven saves across 60 minutes of action, facing a heavy offensive push and continuing to battle between the pipes.
The AMCATS will return to action on April 15th as they host the Owls from Westfield state for a conference matchup. Opening faceoff is set for 6:00pm.
