PAXTON, Mass. - Anna Maria College was defeated by Elms College, 11-1, in a non-conference women's lacrosse game on Wednesday afternoon at Caparso Field.
With the loss, the AMCATS fall to 1-10 overall and remain 0-2 in conference play.
Elms built a 6-0 lead by halftime and extended the advantage to 8-0 before Megan Tegethoff got Anna Maria on the board with an unassisted goal in the fourth quarter.
Grace Holden played all 60 minutes in goal for the AMCATS, making 19 saves in the loss.
Anna Maria returns to action on Saturday, April 11, with a road game at Worcester State University scheduled for 11 a.m.
