PAXTON, Mass. - Anna Maria College was defeated by Westfield State University, 19-1, in a Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference women's lacrosse game on Wednesday afternoon at Caparso Field.
With the loss, the AMCATS fall to 1-12 overall and 0-4 in MASCAC play.
After Westfield State built a dominant first-half lead, Anna Maria got on the board late in the third quarter when Megan Tegethoff scored an unassisted goal, her 11th of the season.
Grace Holden played all 60 minutes in goal for the AMCATS and made five saves.
Anna Maria returns to action on Saturday, April 18, when it hosts Framingham State at 3:30 p.m.
