PAXTON, Mass. - Anna Maria College was defeated 15-2 by Rhode Island College in a non-conference women's lacrosse game on Wednesday afternoon at Caparso Field.
With the loss, the AMCATS fall to 1-7 overall on the season.
After falling behind 7-0 midway through the second quarter, the AMCATS got on the board with an unassisted goal from Kelsey Wilson.
Rhode Island College continued to build its lead throughout the contest, while Anna Maria added a late goal from Mackenzie Fitch in the final seconds to round out the scoring.
On a positive note, Grace Holden made 17 saves in the game, becoming the all-time saves leader in Anna Maria women's lacrosse history with 318 career saves.
Anna Maria returns to action on Saturday, March 28, with a home game scheduled for 4 p.m.
