GORHAM, Maine - Anna Maria College fell to the University of Southern Maine, 14-5, in non-conference men's lacrosse action.
After a slow start that saw the AMCATS fall behind in the opening half, Anna Maria broke through in the second quarter when Jacob Martin scored an unassisted goal to get his team on the board. Later in the period, Nicholas Hussa capitalized on a feed from Martin to cut into the deficit heading into halftime.
Anna Maria showed improvement coming out of the break, as Hussa struck again midway through the third quarter, once again finishing a pass from Martin.
In the final quarter, Martin added his second goal of the contest on an unassisted effort, while Kyle Pickering found the back of the net late to round out the scoring for the AMCATS.
