Women’s Soccer Tripped Up by Mount Holyoke

SOUTH HADLEY, MA - Anna Maria College was defeated 4-0 by Mount Holyoke in a non-conference collegiate women's soccer game Sunday afternoon at Mount Holyoke College Complex.

With the loss, the AMCATS fall to an overall record of 0-2 on the young season.

The Mount Holyoke offense came out of the gate strong, scoring three goals in the first 30 minutes of the game. Junior goalkeeper Kortney Clark did her best to mitigate the damage, making 10 saves in her 90 minutes in net.

Anna Maria took a total of five shots throughout the contest. Ellie Dube led the offense with two shots, while Megan Sean took a shot on goal in the 24th minute of play, forcing the Mount Holyoke goalie to make a save.

Anna Maria returns to action on Wednesday, September 3rd, in a road match against Trinity beginning at 6:00 p.m.
