PAXTON, MA – Anna Maria College came up short against Manhattanville University, falling 5-0 in a non-conference field hockey game at Caparso Field on Wednesday afternoon.
With the result, Anna Maria moves to 1-5 overall while remaining 0-1 in MASCAC play.
Despite being outshot by a 28-shot margin, the AMCATS limited the Valiants to just five goals, including only two over the final 30 minutes of play.
Goalkeeper Julianna Stanger made nine saves in her 60 minutes in net to help keep the game within reach.
The AMCATS return to action on Tuesday, September 23, when they host Bridgewater State in a MASCAC matchup under the lights at 7 p.m.
