NORTH ADAMS, MA - Anna Maria fell to MCLA in three straight sets in a non-conference collegiate women's volleyball match at the Amsler Campus Center on Wednesday afternoon. Set scores were 25-9, 25-15, and 25-7.
With the loss, the AMCATS' overall record drops to 3-5, while remaining 0-1 in MASCAC play.
Anna Maria battled through all three sets, finishing with 17 total kills as a team. Ella Moon paced the attack with six kills on a .308 hitting percentage, while Makenna Lovelette was highly efficient at the net, registering four kills on seven attempts for a .429 kill percentage. Lauren Decoteau added three kills and three digs to support the effort.
On the defensive side, Vanessa Guimaraes finished with five digs, while Rilie Mendoza led the AMCATS with seven digs to go along with two kills and a block.
Anna Maria returns home on Friday, September 26th, to host Worcester State in a MASCAC showdown taking place at 6 p.m.
