Women’s Volleyball Falls to Owls in Straight Sets
WESTFIELD, MA – The Anna Maria College women's volleyball team traveled to face Westfield State University on Thursday afternoon, falling in three straight sets in a Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference matchup at the Woodward Center in Westfield, MA.
With the result, the AMCATS would move to 3-14 overall and 0-5 in MASCAC play.
The AMCATS fought hard throughout the contest, recording 14 total kills as a team. Lauren Decoteau led the way offensively with five kills and one solo block, while Vanessa Guimaraes followed closely with four kills and six digs. Gia Hall continued to be a steady presence for the AMCATS, dishing out nine assists and adding two service aces along with ten digs to lead the team defensively.
Defensively, Ella Moon contributed eight digs, showing effort and consistency in the back row, while Makenna Lovelette added two kills and one block assist at the net.

Anna Maria will return home for another MASCAC matchup on Wednesday, October 22nd, where they will host the Vikings of Salem State University at the Fuller Center in Paxton, MA. First serve is scheduled for 6:00 PM EDT.
