PAXTON, MA - Anna Maria College was defeated in three straight sets by the University of Hartford in a non-conference collegiate women's volleyball match on Tuesday evening at the Fuller Center. Set scores were 25-11, 25-8, 25-11.
With the result, the AMCATS' overall record drops to 3-13, while remaining 0-4 in Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference play.
The AMCATS recorded nine kills as a team, led by a three-way tie between Lauren Decoateau, Ella Moon, and Rilie Mendoza, who each tallied three. Emily Colp and Mendoza shared the team lead with five digs apiece, while Gia Hall contributed eight assists and three digs. Hall and Efe Sampson also added one block each.
Anna Maria returns to MASCAC competition with a road match against Westfield State on Thursday, October 16th. Scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
