Women’s Volleyball Falls in Straight Sets at Mitchell

NEW LONDON, CT - The Anna Maria College women's volleyball team was defeated 3-0 by Mitchell College in non-conference action Wednesday evening at the Yarnall Athletic Center. Set scores were 25-14, 25-7, and 25-11.

With the result, the AMCATS drop to a record of 3-18 overall and 0-7 in conference play.

As a team, Anna Maria totaled 16 kills, 23 digs, and a pair of blocks. Rilie Mendoza led the AMCATS with six kills and added three digs and a solo block. Lauren Decoteau followed with four kills, four digs, and a block, while Makenna Lovelette added two kills on a .333 hitting percentage. Gia Hall finished with 13 assists and four digs, and Vanessa Guimaraes chipped in two kills, six digs, and a service ace.

Anna Maria returns to action tomorrow, Thursday, October 30th, for a road game at Lesley beginning at 6 p.m.
