AMC downed by BlueJays

WEST HARTFORD, Conn. – Saint Joseph College sophomore Patricia Nolan (Portland, Conn.) scored three times and had an assist as the Blue Jays defeated Anna Maria, 12-1 Saturday in a GNAC game at Saint Joseph College.

Saint Joseph improved to 6-2 overall and 4-1 in the GNAC. Anna Maria is 0-9, 0-5. The Blue Jays outshot Anna Maria, 62-2 and got 40 shots on goal.

Nolan has a team-leading nine goals and has now scored 26 goals in 26 career games.

Stacey Rutledge (Meriden, Conn.) and Katie Mirabella (Seymour, Conn.) each scored twice for the Blue Jays. Tiana Saraceno (Plainville, Conn.) had a goal and three assists for Saint Joseph. Melissa Maddaloni (Cheshire, Conn.), Krista Watts (Wolcott, Conn.), Courtney Cesca (Winsted, Conn.) and Dayna Gambino (Newington, Conn.) all had single tallies for the Blue Jays.

Alexa Hare (N. Brookfield, Mass.) scored a second-half goal for Anna Maria and Amanda Hevy (N. Brookfield, Mass.) made 28 saves.
