The first half saw the Lions come out hungry as they kept the ball on AMC's half for nearly all of the 45 minutes in the period. While the Lions started swinging for the fences, it only took eight minutes until Carmen Troubaugh put in her first of the night off a cross from Elizabeth Corti. Corti played the assistee again eight minutes later as Meghan Foel put one in for her first on the night.

At minute 20, Troubaugh was up to her regular tricks as she blasted a shot from the top of the box past the diving hands of AMC's Amanda Hevy making it 3-0. The Lions had one more in them before the half expired though as Jenna LoSavio picked the perfect spot to pick up a deflected cross and pull a point blank shot to make it 4-0.

The second half the Lions surged again with Kara Pantano putting in a goal off a deflected save by Hevy to give EC the 5-0 lead.

Heavy was the burden on Hevy though as she deserved a tip of the cap for 27 saves In the match, though she couldn't stop Kara Pantano's second of the game off a corner kick.
