Volleyball Drops pair two Colby-Sawyer and Albertus

NEW HAVEN, CT- The Anna Maria Volleyball team was swept this afternoon by Colby-Sawyer and Albertus Magnus in conference play 3-0 in both contests.

• Albertus logged a .172 hitting percentage in the opener, compared to .015 for Anna Maria.
• The Falcons' victory in the first match is their second of the season in the GNAC.
• Albertus is 6-7 all-time against Anna Maria, extending its win streak three straight.
• Diana Kalman (Naugatuck, Conn.) and Maria Vazquez (Hamden, Conn.) finished tied for the team lead with eight kills each against the AMCATS.
• Jaiden Williams (Orange, Conn.) was also integral to the offense with 23 assists on the team's 26 kills.
• Williams also tallied a season-best six service aces.
• Jesselle Guzman (El Paso, Texas) helmed the Albertus defense with 10 digs.

Colby-Sawyer received six kills apiece from Olivia Werner and Maeve Powell. Each player hit .400. Olivia Goodrich had six aces, while Bre Sheehan tallied five. 

Anna Maria was led by Bella Kozciak's six kills. Serena Dennis had a match best 11 digs.
