Men’s Basketball Falls at Connecticut College

NEW LONDON, CT - Anna Maria College was defeated 88-69 on the road by Connecticut College in a non-conference men's basketball matchup on Wednesday evening at the Luce Field House.

With the result, the AMCATS drop to an overall record of 1-6 on the season.

Anna Maria put together one of its stronger opening halves, shooting 41.9% and taking a 44-41 lead into the break. Connecticut College, however, took control in the second half to put the game out of reach.

Lucas Miglionico led the AMCATS with 16 points and a team-high six rebounds, while Yuki Efosa added 12 points and five rebounds. Tyson Wheeler contributed nine points off the bench, while Joe Ingegneri had eight, and Logan Talbot finished with six points. Stevens Joacine provided six points off the bench, and Patrick Freeman added four points.

The AMCATS finished 23-of-57 from the field (40.4%), hit 6-of-16 from three (37.5%), and went 17-of-30 at the free-throw line (56.7%). Anna Maria also received a strong lift from the bench, which totaled 30 points.

Anna Maria continues the season on Saturday, December 6th, with a road game at Mitchell. Tip-off is set for 1 p.m.
