Men’s Basketball Falls at Bridgewater State

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. - Anna Maria College was defeated 65-46 by Bridgewater State University in a Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference men's basketball game on Saturday afternoon at the Tinsley Center.

With the loss, the AMCATS fall to 5-15 overall and 2-8 in MASCAC play.

Anna Maria was outscored 47-22 in the first half before closing the game by outscoring Bridgewater State 24-18 in the second half, but the early deficit proved too much to overcome.

Lucas Miglionico and Logan Talbot led the AMCATS with 14 points apiece. Miglionico connected on three three-pointers and went 5-for-10 from the free throw line, while Talbot finished 5-for-8 from the field and a perfect 4-for-4 at the line.

Nolan Serafin added nine points and a team-high six rebounds, while Jason Canady scored nine points off the bench. Ethan McInerny chipped in eight points, knocking down two three-pointers.

As a team, Anna Maria was limited to 16 field goals and made eight three-pointers in the contest.

The AMCATS return to action on Monday, February 9, with a home matchup against Trinity beginning at 7 p.m.
