Men’s Basketball Falls at Rivier

NASHUA, NH - Anna Maria College was defeated 78–54 by Rivier University in a non-conference collegiate men's basketball game on Friday afternoon at the Muldoon Center.

With the result, the AMCATS fall to an overall record of 3-7 before entering MASCAC competition.

The first half was all Rivier, with Anna Maria being held to just 19 points in the period. The AMCATS' offense picked it up in the second half, putting up 35 points, but were unable to overcome a Raiders offense that put up nearly 50 points.

Joe Ingegneri led Anna Maria with eight points, connecting on two three-pointers. Lucas Miglionico and Tyrell Green each finished with seven points, while Stevens Joacine added six. James McKinney chipped in five points off the bench.

Anna Maria shot 35.4 percent from the field and 38.5 percent from beyond the arc, showing efficiency from long range despite the final result.

Anna Maria returns to action, opening MASCAC play in a road game against Salem State on Wednesday, January 7th, beginning at 7 p.m.
