BRIDGEWATER, Mass. - Anna Maria College was defeated 65-46 by Bridgewater State University in a Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference women's basketball game on Saturday afternoon at the Tinsley Center.
With the loss, the AMCATS record drops to 7-12 overall and 3-6 in conference play.
Anna Maria struggled offensively in the opening half, but came out with renewed effort in the second, outscoring the Bears 39-36 over the last two quarters, while outrebounding them by a margin of 43-39
Arianna Saladini paced Anna Maria with 12 points on 5-for-9 shooting, while Meaghan Doyle and Tiffany Salazar each added 8 points. Sarah O'Connor recorded a team-high 13 rebounds, adding six points, and dished out five assists.
Anna Maria returns to action on Monday, February 9th, for a home matchup against MCLA beginning at 5 p.m.
