Women’s Basketball Stopped Short in Semifinals by Bridgewater

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. - Anna Maria College was defeated in the Semifinal round of the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Playoffs on Friday night at the Swenson Athletic Center.

With the loss, the AMCATS conclude the 2025-26 season with an overall record of 11-15.

After scoring just 12 points in the opening quarter, Anna Maria battled back in the second, putting up 21 points as Bri Franklin and Meghan Doyle combined for 11 in the frame. Bridgewater scored 16 points in the quarter to take a narrow 35-33 lead into halftime.

The teams went even in the third quarter, each scoring 16 points, sending the game into the final quarter with Bridgewater holding a 51-49 advantage. The Bears pulled away in the fourth, scoring 35 points in the final 10 minutes to put the game out of reach for the AMCATS.

Three AMCATS finished in double figures, led by Arianna Saladini with 14 points and seven rebounds while shooting 2-for-3 from three-point range, adding two steals and two blocks. Arianna Gonzalez added 12 points, four assists, and three steals, while Tiffany Salazar chipped in 11 points with five rebounds and four steals.
