Warburton Named GNAC Player of the Week

Paxton, Mass. – For the second time this season, Anna Maria College women's basketball player Trafficia Warburton (Worcester, Mass.) has been selected the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Player of the Week as announced by the league on Monday afternoon.

Warburton had a terrific week for the AMCATS who posted a 2-1 record. The junior averaged 24 points, 11.7 rebounds, 4 steals and two assists over the seven day span.

 On the road at Wheelock College the forward poured in 26 points, grabbed 13 boards and made 4 steals in the 72-55 victory. In a mid-week match-up at WPI, Warburton was one rebound shy of a double-double, handling 9 caroms and contributing a team-high 17 points. In the week's final match-up vs. Elms College, Warburton posted a match-high 29 points and 13 rebounds in a 72-49 whitewashing for the AMCATS fifth win of the season.

The AMCATS will be back in action after Christmas when they travel to Lycoming College for the Hoops for Hounds Tournament starting December 29.
