Savoie Named Third Team All-Conference

PAXTON, MA - On Tuesday, May 14th the Great Northeast Athletic Conference announced their Softball All-Conference award winners for the spring 2024 season. Shay Savoie earned Third Team All-Conference honors while Kiara Edmonds was named to the GNAC's All-Sportsmanship team.

Shay Savoie led the charge for the AMCATS this spring, leading the team with a .432 batting average while also breaking the school record with 40 stolen bases in a single season. Savoie would also rank first in the GNAC for stolen bases this season. Savoie would notch a total of 51 hits with a team high of eight doubles, three triples and three home runs. A team high of 34 runs in 38 games this spring would put her just under a run per game. These impressive numbers would put her on the GNAC's list for Third Team All-Conference honors. Shay would also find recognition from the school as she was awarded Female Athlete of the Year for her performance not just in softball but volleyball as well. Its safe to say that Shay has had quite an impressive year with the AMCATS.
