WORCESTER, MA: On Wednesday March 19th, 2025, the Anna Maria College Softball team hosted the Fisher College Falcons for a non-conference doubleheader at the WPI softball stadium. The AMCATS would sweep the Falcons in both games, first game 12-0 and the second game 13-0.
Game One:
The AMCATS would start the scoring early against the Falcons, as they would capitalize on walks to score runs early. It would be Madisyn Crossman who would single to break the first hit of the game for the AMCATS, while scoring runs in the bottom off the single and walks from eh Falcons. The AMCATS would continue to bring the offensive momentum as Madison Ayik would double for the AMCATS, in the second inning while scoring more AMCAT runs off walks given up by the Falcons. It would then be Emelia Carvalho who would earn herself a single against the Falcons scoring the 8th run for the AMCATS against the Falcons. The AMCATS would continue to pile on runs in the game capitalizing on the walks and defensive mistakes committed by the Falcons. Makenna Lovelette would earn the AMCATS last hit of the game as she would single increasing the lead for the AMCATS over the Falcons. The pitching for the AMCATS would be flawless in the game as Lauryn Meade and Mackenzie Evers would combine for a no hitter against the Falcons. Meade would have 5 strikeouts, no walks and no hits. Evers would have two strikeouts, one walk, and no hits. The AMCATS would go on to win the game over the Falcons in 5 innings with a score of 12 to 0.
Game Two:
The AMCATS were looking for a sweep against the Falcons of Fisher College. The AMCATS would come out strong in game two against the Falcons. It would be similar to game one for the AMCATS, as they would capitalize on the Falcons walking them, and the defensive mistakes committed by the Falcons. The AMCATS would earn themselves four hits in game two against the Falcons. The first hit in the game for the AMCATS would be off the bat of Paige Stewart for a single. The AMCATS would get a triple off the bat of Madison Levesque for her first triple of the season. Madisyn Crossman and Emelia Carvalho would continue their hot streaks at the plate against the Falcons, both earning themselves doubles in the game. The AMCATS would silence the Falcons and totally dominate putting up 13 runs in five innings. The AMCATS pitchers would again be flawless in game two. Makenna Lovelette would start for the AMCATS allowing only one hit, no walks and 8 strike outs. Lauryn Meade and Mackenzie Evers would both not allow a single hit and combine for 5 strikeouts. The AMCATS total domination and offensive momentum would take down the Falcons 13 to 0 in five innings to win the game and complete the sweep.

On Wednesday March 26th, 2025 the AMCATS softball team looks to travel to Westfield, MA to take on the Owls of Westfield State for a double header non-conference matchup. Opening Pitch for game one is set for 3:00pm.
