HICKS GOES 3 FOR 5 ON THE DAY AS SOFTBALL SPLITS AGAINST WARRIORS AND FALCONS IN FLORIDA

Game 1-
Anna Maria College AMCATS took on the Wisconsin Lutheran Warrior in Melbourne, FL on Monday March 10,2025. The AMCATS would drop the game 8-0. 
The AMCATS would put up their best efforts to try and contain the Warriors only being down 2-0 after the first inning. The AMCATS would continue to put the ball in play but would find the Warrior's on the other side. 
The Warrior's would continue to add the their lead making the co0meback for the AMCATS seeming to be difficult.
The AMCATS would find themselves having to try and find an answer for the Warrior's offense. Kiki Hicks would try and bring the momentum for the AMCATS going 2-2 in the game. 
Game 2-
The AMCATS of Anna Maria College took on the Falcons of Fitchburg State, the AMCATS won the game 8-5.
After a tough loss in game one of the day the AMCATS came into game two prepared for the Falcons. They would find themselves on the board in the first inning with an RBI from Madisyn Crossman as she put the ball into play driving home Kiki Hicks. The AMCAST would remain up on the Falcons 1-0 until the top of the fourth inning when the Falcons found some offense.
By the end of the fourth inning the score had flipped and the Falcons were now leading the game 4-1. The AMCATS would only allow one more run in for the Falcons until they found their offense again. In the bottom of the sixth inning Maddison Levesque would bring in two runs as she doubled out to right center, bring the AMCATS back withing two of the Falcons. They wouldn't stop there as Paige Stewart singled to the shortstop, eventually advancing to third on an error that would send home two more AMCATS tying the game 5-5. Stewart would find herself scoring on a single to right center from Ella Moon. Emelia Carvalho would blast one out to left field earning herself a triple and scoring another run. The final run of the game would come from a single to left field from Makenna Lovelette. The AMCATS would win the game 8-5, scoring 7 runs in the sixth inning.
The AMCATS would have six diffent players having one or more RBI in the game.
 
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
  • Ella Moon leads the team with a .500 batting average after going 3 for 4 against the Falcons.
  • Mackenzie Evers earned her first win of the season on the mound for the AMCATS, pitching 2 innings and allowing just one hit.
