Game 1

The Anna maria Softball team started their last day of spring break games off against the Spartans of Dubuque University. The AMCATS won the game 1-0.

Both teams battled in a tightly contested pitching duel through the early innings, with neither side able to break through offensively. The Spartans threatened at times, tallying six hits in the contest, but the AMCATS defense held firm to keep the game scoreless.

Anna Maria finally broke through in the sixth inning when Madisyn Crossman delivered the decisive swing of the game, launching a solo home run to give the AMCATS a 1–0 lead. The blast proved to be the difference as the AMCATS held on for the victory.
