FRAMINGHAM, MA - Anna Maria College defeated Framingham State University in a Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference women's ice hockey game on Saturday night at the Loring Arena.
With the result, the AMCATS improve to an overall record of 1-3 and a conference record of 1-1.
Camryn Beauvais opened the scoring with an unassisted goal, her second of the season, halfway through the second period to give her team a 1-0 lead. Moments later, Lauren Sundgren scored her first goal of the season, assisted by Quinn Bennett and Ceilia Nolan, to give the AMCATS a 2-0 advantage
Aliana Gibson added an insurance goal with her first score of the season, and later assisted Suri Roberts on her first goal of the year, making the score 4-1 to put the game out of reach for the Rams.
Emma Brewer played the entire game in net for the AMCATS, making 13 saves to pick up her first victory of the season.
Anna Maria returns to action on Friday, November 21st, to host Salem State in a home game beginning at 4:40 p.m.
