NASHUA, N.H. – Anna Maria College fell to MASCAC opponent Rivier University, 5–1, in a women's ice hockey matchup on Sunday evening in Nashua.
With the loss, the AMCATS drop to 4-10-1 overall and 2-3-1 in conference play.
Rivier opened the scoring late in the first period at 14:53, but the AMCATS responded quickly. Just 39 seconds later, Tessa Henry netted a power-play goal to even the game at 1–1, with Alexandria Mupo picking up the assist.
The Raiders regained control in the second period, scoring twice to take a 3–1 lead into the final frame. Rivier added two more goals in the third period, including a power-play tally in the final minute, to seal the victory.
Henry finished with four shots on goal, while Alexandra Peterson and Marianna Recica-Sullivan each added four, and the AMCATS finished the night with 22 shots as a team.
Anna Maria returns to action on Saturday, January 24, when it hosts Framingham State at 7:20 p.m.
