WORCESTER, Mass. - Anna Maria College fell 6-2 to Framingham State University in the semifinals of the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Ice Hockey Playoffs.
The AMCATS opened the scoring late in the first period when Grace Holden found the back of the net off assists from Quinn Bennett and Alexandria Mupo, giving the home team a 1-0 lead with 1:29 remaining in the frame.
The Rams evened the score at 1-1 in the second period, sending the game into the third tied. Framingham State struck early in the final period to take its first lead of the night, but Holden responded with her second goal of the game, assisted by Bennett and Lauren Sundgren, to tie the contest at 2-2.
From there, the Rams scored four unanswered goals, including two empty net tallies, to secure the 6-2 decision.
Emma Brewer played all 60 minutes in goal for the AMCATS, recording 27 saves throughout the game.
