PROVIDENCE, RI - Anna Maria College was defeated 1-0 by Johnson & Wales University in a non-conference collegiate women's ice hockey game on Friday evening at the Lynch Arena.
With the result, the AMCATS' overall record drops to 3-8-1, while remaining 2-2-1 in MASCAC play.
Anna Maria had trouble finding their footing on offense, recording 18 shots, seven of which were on target, with Ceilia Nolan accounting for two.
The AMCATS' defense fared better, holding the Wildcats to just one goal, led by goaltender Emma Brewer, who finished with 39 saves, achieving a .975 save percentage in an attempt to keep her team in the contest.
Anna Maria returns to action on Friday, January 16th, against Plymouth State. Puck is set to drop at 6 p.m.
