Lucas De la Salle Earns MASCAC Player and Rookie of the Week Honors

PAXTON, Mass. - Lucas de la Salle was named Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference Player and Rookie of the Week, announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.

The right wing from Edmonton, Alberta, powered the AMCATS to a 2-0 week, scoring three goals in the two victories. De la Salle netted the go-ahead tally in a 2-2 draw that ended in a shootout win over Worcester State, then added two more goals in a decisive 7-1 victory over Hiram.

The freshman's goals mark his first three of the season, appearing in six games so far for the AMCATS.

De la Salle and the Anna Maria men's ice hockey team return to action on Thursday, January 29, to take on Framingham State University in a MASCAC matchup. Puck drops at 5:40 p.m.
