Russ DeMariano Named Associate Head Coach of Men’s Ice Hockey
PAXTON, MA – Russell DeMariano has been named Associate Head Coach of the Anna Maria College men's ice hockey program for the upcoming 2025-26 season. DeMariano will work directly alongside Head Coach David McCauley, bringing experience as a player, coach, scout, and program builder to the AMCATS bench.
After playing college hockey, DeMariano transitioned into coaching and player development, serving in a wide range of roles, including head coach of the Boston Jr. Terriers U18 program, where he guided his teams to multiple league championships and a National Championship semifinal appearance in 2020. At Archbishop Williams High School, he served as an assistant coach of the varsity program for over a decade, helping lead his squad to three Super 8 appearances, multiple league championships, and a trip to the 2020 state finals.
In addition to his coaching experience, DeMariano aims to add further depth to the AMCATS roster, bringing a wealth of experience as a scout, founder, and owner of several hockey enterprises, including the Boston Junior Terriers Youth Hockey Organization and the American Hockey Academy, both of which have developed dozens of players who have advanced to high-level junior and NCAA programs.
