Anna Maria Club Hockey Captures AAU National Championship in Historic Season
PAXTON, Mass. — What began as a season filled with promise ended with history as the Anna Maria College Club Hockey team captured the AAU College Hockey National Championship, capping off a dominant year that established the AMCATS among the top programs in the country.
Anna Maria built momentum throughout the season in the New England Independent Hockey Conference (NEIHC) and carried that success to the national stage. The AMCATS finished the regular season 17-2-1, earning 35 points and first place in the NEIHC M2 standings while showcasing one of the most complete teams in the league.
A Dominant Regular Season
Anna Maria's success throughout the regular season was fueled by a balanced lineup capable of producing offense across all four lines while maintaining structure in its own zone.
Leading the way offensively was Robin Vondrasek, who paced the team with 65 points on 30 goals and 35 assists. Close behind was Jarome Myers, who totaled 64 points with 23 goals and 41 assists, forming one of the conference's most dynamic scoring duos.
The AMCATS also received strong contributions throughout the lineup. Drew Dellies, Corey McNally, and Sam Senft each recorded 30+ point seasons, helping drive Anna Maria's balanced attack.

Rising to the National Stage
After finishing atop the NEIHC standings, Anna Maria earned a berth in the AAU College Hockey National Tournament, where the top club teams from across the country compete for the national title.
The AMCATS carried their regular-season momentum into the tournament, combining disciplined defense with timely scoring as they advanced through the bracket.
Several players elevated their play during the championship run. Drew Dellies and Jarome Myers each recorded 10 points over four tournament games to lead Anna Maria offensively. Kyle Charbonneau and Corey McNally added six points apiece, while Sam Senft and Niko Vaccaro contributed five points each, highlighting the depth that powered the AMCATS' tournament success.

A Championship Moment
In the AAU National Championship game, the AMCATS delivered their most complete performance of the tournament against Bishop's University.
After falling behind early, Anna Maria rallied with five unanswered goals to secure a 5–2 comeback victory and claim the national title. Jarome Myers scored the game-winning goal in the third period, giving the AMCATS the lead for good.
Goaltender Lorenz Hoffer was outstanding in net, turning aside 31 shots to help seal the championship victory.
When the final horn sounded, the AMCATS celebrated as AAU National Champions, completing a remarkable tournament run.
A Historic Achievement
The title marks a defining moment for Anna Maria Club Hockey. In just a few years, the program has grown into a powerhouse within the NEIHC and now on the national stage.
The 2025–26 AMCATS will forever be remembered as the team that brought a national championship to Paxton, capping a season that has secured its place in Anna Maria College history.
