MASCAC Announces 2025 Fall Sportsmanship Team

PAXTON, MA - The Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference announced that 64 student-athletes have been recognized for their outstanding sportsmanship by being named to the 2025 Sportsmanship Team. Anna Maria had representation in all five of its fall sports, with five athletes earning the honor.

Sophomore defender Ben Chikwanha was selected as the nominee for men's soccer after serving as an integral part of the AMCATS' defensive game plan. Junior right side Ella Moon earned the recognition for women's volleyball, acting as the team's captain throughout the season. Junior midfielder Kennedy Etheridge represented the field hockey team, serving as a defensive stalwart for her squad. Merino Vedova was honored as the football representative, contributing as a team captain, defensive back, and kicker for the AMCATS. Junior defender Macy Hutchinson rounded out the selections, representing women's soccer as another key piece of the AMCATS' defense.

The MASCAC Sportsmanship Team is designed to recognize one student-athlete from each team in every sport who best exemplifies the values of the MASCAC and its Sportsmanship Statement, regardless of their overall performance or statistics for the season.
