Men’s Ice Hockey Closes Out Season on 10-Game Win Streak With Senior Day Victory Over Rams

AUBURN, Mass. - Anna Maria College closed out the regular season with a 3-1 victory over Framingham State University in a Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference men's ice hockey game Saturday night at Horgan Skating Arena.

With the win, Anna Maria ends the season on a 10-game winning streak, finishing 17-5-2 overall and 11-1-1 in conference play.

Six seniors were recognized before the game as part of a Senior Day celebration.

Dylan McElhinny opened the scoring at 14:13 of the first period, finishing a feed from Brandon Della Paolera and Pearce Baker to give the AMCATS a 1-0 lead.

Framingham State evened the score at 18:06 of the first period, but Anna Maria responded in the second. Max Wennerberg scored on the power play at 10:16, converting a pass from Owen Barrow to restore a 2-1 advantage.

Barrow added an insurance goal late in the third period off a feed from Adam Redding to account for the 3-1 final.

Cole Johnston played all 60 minutes in net, making 25 saves to secure the victory.

Anna Maria finishes the regular season ranked No. 1 in the MASCAC, earning a first-round bye and hosting a semifinal matchup on Saturday, February 28.
