Hennessey Named MASCAC Goalie of the Week for Third Time

PAXTON, Mass. - Matthew Hennessey was named Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference Goalie of the Week for the third time this season, announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.

Hennessey was recognized for his standout play in a perfect 2-0 week for the AMCATS. The junior goalie posted a .967 save percentage and a 1.07 goals against average, turning aside 59 shots over the two contests. He made 20 saves in Anna Maria's 6-1 victory over Framingham State before following it up with a 39-save performance in a 3-1 win over Salem State.

The Warman, Saskatchewan native has been a key piece of the AMCATS success in net this season, making 490 total saves through 16 games with a .946 save percentage, 1.75 goals against average, and an 11-3 individual record.

The men's ice hockey team returns to action on Thursday, February 5th, for a home game against MCLA beginning at 5:40 p.m.
